Villa Tolomei, Firenze.

Villa Tolomei is situated a mile from the city centre overlooking Florence (the most amazing views from the pool all day and all night long). The place originally a 13th century monastery converted into many other uses since, the most recent before the hotel being an affluent home. All the staff were so kind and nice, each being able to speak in every language until they found which language you spoke in.

The pool was such a getaway with usually less than ten people poolside at a time. The hotel only opened at the beginning of June this year, which was amazing considering they functioned like an experienced team.

The first night we arrived we stayed in to eat at the hotel which was a winning decision. I ordered the seafood selection not to be disappointed with a tower of everything nice. What was best was how amazing the view was while we ate.

The room was good, with a patio outside the glass doors. Although i would say it seemed a little bare, as the fire place and mantle piece sat empty. And my trusty snake skin bag and grey country road bag with me on my travels as always.
